About & methodology

Useful brick AI must be inspectable.

Image2LEGO is an independent, fan-made design tool exploring how reference images can become editable 3D brick-model proposals, assembly steps, parts lists, and structured exports.

What the product does

Users can upload reference images, choose a primary view, generate or modify a model proposal, inspect it in 3D, review a step timeline and parts inventory, and export LDraw, CSV, or JSON data.

What the product does not guarantee

Generated output is not a manufacturing certificate. Hidden geometry, rare parts, unavailable color combinations, weak connections, and difficult assembly sequences may require manual correction. Users should inspect exports in compatible brick-design software before purchasing parts.

Editorial method

01

Prefer primary sources

Research papers, official model documentation, project pages, and first-party announcements are used for technical claims.

02

Separate fact from inference

Published claims are labeled or directly cited. Product implications and predictions are described as editorial analysis.

03

Show verification dates

Fast-moving model and product claims include the date on which sources were checked.

04

Correct transparently

Substantial updates change the modified date and should explain what changed when it affects the conclusion.

AI assistance disclosure

AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting, translation, code, and original illustrations. Articles are assembled around cited sources and reviewed for internal consistency before publication. AI assistance is not treated as evidence; the linked source is.

Independence and trademarks

Content focus

The publication covers image-to-brick workflows, discrete 3D generation, LDraw, connection graphs, buildability, parts inventories, assembly planning, and the practical limits of generative AI for physical models.
