Turn Building Photos into 3D Brick Architecture

A building photo supplies a strong silhouette but only one view of a three-dimensional structure. Use Image2LEGO to develop an editable brick proposal, then review the roof, rear walls and load-bearing sections yourself.

Design proposal, not a build guarantee

Image2LEGO turns a reference image into an editable 3D brick proposal. One photo leaves hidden surfaces uncertain. Manually inspect connections, stability, parts and build order before buying physical bricks.

01 / REFERENCE PHOTO

Choose a photo that explains the subject

Start with a clear facade

Choose a photograph with visible roofline, doors and major windows. Avoid a heavy perspective warp when the building’s proportions matter.

Add a corner view when available

A second image showing the side wall helps distinguish a shallow facade from a full building. Select the strongest image as the primary reference.

Separate the subject

Crop out cars, signs and nearby buildings unless they are intentionally part of your scene.

02 / SUBJECT-SPECIFIC DESIGN

Translate the subject into brick decisions

Block out mass before ornament

Begin with the main body, tower or roof volumes. Treat tiny trim and masonry texture as later color or tile decisions.

Repeat architectural modules

Use consistent window spacing and floor heights so the model reads as one structure rather than unrelated wall fragments.

Plan access and support

Consider whether floors, roof and interior supports can be assembled in a sensible order. Decorative overhangs need real attachment points.

03 / COPYABLE STARTING POINT

Prompt to Try in Image2LEGO

This is a starting instruction, not a promise that every requested feature will appear. Upload your own reference, select “Start a new build”, and revise the proposal after inspecting it.

SUBJECT PROMPT
Create an editable 3D brick model based on this building photo. Keep the recognizable roofline, front entrance and repeating window rhythm. Use a compact modular footprint, simplify tiny facade details into plates and tiles, and show the side and rear as clearly labeled inferred design choices. Do not claim physical stability without manual inspection.
04 / BEFORE ORDERING PARTS

Manual Buildability Checklist

A model that looks convincing on screen has not automatically passed a physical assembly test. Review the exported LDraw file and parts list in a compatible editor before purchase.

1. Check

Inspect the rear and roof: the photo may not show them.

2. Check

Confirm every overhang has an attachment or support.

3. Check

Check that window and arch parts exist in your selected colors.

4. Check

Review the assembly order before purchasing parts.

05 / PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one photo show the entire building?

No. A single view cannot reveal the back, hidden side or interior. Treat those areas as design interpretations and inspect them in the 3D preview.

Does a convincing render mean I can build it?

No. Part existence, legal connections and physical support still require manual checks.
